Originally from Northern California, Alexander Wang moved to New York after high school to attend Parsons School of Design. By his sophomore year, Wang was already designing a small collection. In 2007, having just graduated, Wang launched his first full collection, attracting attention from fashion insiders.  By Fall 2008, Alexander Wang was awarded the Ecco award, nominated for CFDA Swarovski Women’s Wear Designer of the year award, and hailed as the new darling of fashion.
