In 2010, while working a day job at the Conde Nast photo studio in NYC, Dona Monroe somehow managed to also launch a small capsule collection of little black dresses made in sandwashed crepe de chine---her concept of a fashion “uniform”. In a flash, Monroe had distribution at reputable shops and glowing press. She designed her own line in New York for three more seasons and then it was time to head west to Portland and have a family. She re-launched in Spring/Summer 2016, with a new perspective, but the same attention to quality and luxury.
