Lemaire is an independent collective run by Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran. Lemaire stepped down as creative director at Hermes in 2014 to focus on his own clothing line. The idea was to make good clothes and to build a great wardrobe every season rather than change it. With that in mind, the collections are straight-forward, French, sophisticated and not trend-motivated.
