Keizo Shimizu started the Japanese fashion distribution company, Nepenthes in 1988 which eventually led to the establishment of Needles, a line of Keizo's own designs, created based on fashion he felt SHOULD be available, but wasn't. Needles fully represents his bohemian vision, and Rebuild by Needles is a smaller collection within his line that repurposes vintage American military pieces into innovative and original fashion. All his designs are made or assembled in Japan.
