Sandy Liang grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and spent a good amount of time in NYC's Chinatown where her dad had a restaurant. She looks to her Chinese roots for inspiration, focusing on "Chinatown grandmothers" who influence her designs.

Liang went to RISD for architecture but changed her path by instead pursuing a degree from Parsons. She graduated in 2013 and took on the enormous task of starting her own label just a year later. 

Her styles are fun, wearable, and reflect her own experiences of living and growing up in NYC.
